China has been giving Somali youth over 200 full government scholarships per year for the last few years.
Fei Shengchao, the Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, gave a report on the number of students who have received full government scholarships so far.
According to Ambassador Shengchao, the Chinese government has been awarding full scholarships to over 200 students a year.
He said that this has been happening over the last few years.
Ambassador Shengchao added that 80 percent of these students are currently pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) courses.
Afterward, they would return to Somalia to apply their skills and rebuild the nation.
