A cholera vaccination campaign has been rolled out in Somalia.
The campaign is a joint effort by the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
The World Health Organization (WHO) also joined Somalia and UNICEF in launching the campaign.
Ministry of Health personnel are to vaccinate Somalis around the country jointly with their colleagues from WHO and UNICEF.
They will carry out the single-dose vaccination campaign from August 12-16.
The exercise was launched in Jubbaland, a regional state that borders Kenya and Ethiopia.
Jubbaland districts that benefited from the cholera vaccination campaign include Dhobley, Doolow, Luuq, Belet Xaawo, and Afmadow.
