Clerics have thrown their weight behind the ongoing counterterrorism operations in Somalia.
The clerics, speaking at an event in Mogadishu organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, reiterated their support for the offensives.
They urged all Somalis to play an active role in ending the terrorism scourge.
Furthermore, they termed the ongoing operations “a national duty” that every Somali should take part in to restore security in the country.
