A training for Community Safety Volunteers (CSVs) kicked off at the headquarters of the Lower Jubbaland Police.
The training is for 30 CSVs.
African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) Police Unit organized the training jointly with Somali Police Force (SPF).
The 30 volunteers are to be equipped with a range of skills that enable them to focus on the safety and wellness of residents in their areas of work.
SPF officers and community leaders vetted the volunteers chosen for the training rigourously.
