Constitutional Commission Meets with Accountant General on Finance Provisions

MOGADISHU, Somalia – Burhaan Aadan Cumar, Chairman of the Independent Constitutional Review and Implementation Commission (ICRIC), today held a consultative meeting with senior officials from the Accountant General’s office. This gathering represents initial discussions focused on finalizing the financial provisions of the provisional constitution.

Led by Chairman Cumar, the meeting aimed to technically address the constitutional framework for the Accountant General’s office. Discussions centered on defining and regulating the responsibilities, authority, and operational parameters of the Accountant General within the Finance Chapter, ensuring clear legal foundations and robust institutional structure.
