Construction of a New Primary School for Girls in HirShabelle Launched

The regional state of HirShabelle will soon have a new primary school that caters purely for the needs of marginalized girls in the area.

HirShabelle’s Minister of Education, Said Hagar, launched an initiative to establish a new primary school for girls in Beledweyne by laying the foundation stone.

The initiative is a promising advancement for girls’ education in HirShabelle State.

This project aims to tackle barriers that have long hindered marginalized girls, particularly in rural and remote areas, from accessing quality education.

By creating a dedicated learning environment, this school will address critical needs, including facilities and resources to support girls with disabilities.

Such initiatives are essential in fostering inclusive education, empowering young girls, and contributing to Somalia’s broader goals of social and economic development.
