The construction of what could soon be the largest mall in Somalia kicked off in Mogadishu on Thursday.
Mayor Sheikh Yusuf Hussein Jimale of Mogadishu laid the foundation stone at the proposed site of the mall in a ceremony held on Thursday.
The Somali Business Bay (SBB) Mall will stand in Hamarweyne.
It will have parking space for more than 500 cars while creating direct jobs to over 2,000 people once completed.
