Consumer prices in Somalia fell in June 2023.
The Somali National Bureau of Statistics (SNBS) published the latest data on July 15.
According to the data, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for all groups was 143.72 in June 2023 compared to 143.73 in May 2023.
Additionally, the inflation rate was 6.64 percent in June.
This was quite significant considering that it had averaged 6.59 percent for the 12 months leading to May 2023.
Consequently, the inflation rate has affected items such as rent, clothing, footwear, electricity, transport, health, and communication.
