George Conway has assured the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) of the continued support of the United Nations.
Conway, who is the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General (DSRSG) of the UN, offered this assurance during his meeting with the SODMA Commissioner Mahamuud Moallim.
Conway and Moallim met on Thursday.
The DSRSG, who is also the UN Humanitarian Coordinator for Somalia, also discussed the impact of El Nino floods with the SODMA representatives.
They spoke about the delivery of aid grants to the Somalis who are in need of these in different parts of the country too.
