Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF), a rehabilitation facility based in Hargeisa, has rescued one more cheetah cub.
The cub now becomes the 34th member to join the conservancy. According to CCF, the cub had been under the attention and protection of the military.
It was not all good news, though. CCF announced the death of the second cub that had also been rescued.
The youngest one passed on after prolonged exposure to parasitic infestation, malnourishment, and fatigue from extended traveling.
CCF said the rescue is timely and encouraging considering the perilous COVID-19 circumstances under which they are working.
