Daalo Airlines has won the tender to fly Somali pilgrims for Hajj.
Daalo emerged victorious ahead of eight other airlines.
Somali pilgrims will now pay $4,484 down from $5,230 to travel to Saudi Arabia for Hajj.
The government had announced a reduction in the Hajj fees for Somalis.
Daalo is Somalia’s largest airline.
Over the years, Somali pilgrims have continuously complained of exploitation by firms providing Hajj services.
The country has an allocation of 11,500 slots for Hajj.
