Dahabshiil Group has announced a cash donation of $300,000 to families that were forcibly evicted from Las Anod.
Somaliland authorities recently asked certain people from Las Anod to leave the region and return to central and southern Somalia.
The incident has shocked many in Somalia.
International organizations, such as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA, have also expressed their displeasure at the move.
On October 15, Dahabshiil Group held an event in which they announced the donation.
The remittance company announced that the donation would help the families in their resettlement efforts.
