The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dahabshil Group has said that remittances continue to keep Somalis alive in the face of the worsening drought.
Abdirashid Duale, the Dahabshil Group CEO, made this assessment on Thursday, June 23 during an interview with the media.
He was speaking in the face of the biting drought, which many stakeholders have called the worst in Somalia over the last 40 years.
Duale also commended Somalis in the diaspora for the remittances that enable their families back home to withstand the effects of climate change and conflict.
