Danab Special Forces foiled a terrorist attack that was to take place in Gabdhole on Thursday.
Security sources confirmed the successful operation that the elite forces undertook in the region on March 17.
Danab Special Forces is a unit within Somali National Army (SNA) comprising specially trained soldiers.
Their operation took place in Gabdhole, a town located roughly 40kms from Kismayo, the administrative capital of Jubbaland.
Further, the Danab forces captured a vehicle full of explosives.
They arrested the person driving the explosives-laden vehicle too.
Apparently, the militant driver was on his way to carrying out a suicide attack in an unnamed location when the soldiers arrested him.
