The Somali National Army’s Danab special forces, working alongside international partners, conducted a planned special operation on Thursday night in the Buula Fuleey area of Bay region, a key stronghold for Al-Shabaab militants.
The forces targeted locations housing terrorist leaders, resulting in the elimination of more than 20 members, including senior figures and fighters.
Additionally, the operation destroyed a radio station operated by the terrorist group in the area.
This strike follows recent actions against the group’s top leaders in Middle Juba region two days prior, as well as the repulsion of a militant assault yesterday in the Wargaadhi area of Middle Shabelle region.
