Soldiers from the elite Danab unit destroyed several camps that belong to the Al-Shabaab militia group in the Lower Juba region.
The United States-trained Danab soldiers worked closely with Jubaland Regional Forces in this military operation.
Sources informed the media that the operation took place in Dharkeyn, Yaaq-Dabeyl, Qudus, and Labi-Kus.
Al-Shabaab had been using one of the destroyed bases as their court and a facility for hiding their money.
Several Al-Shabaab militants lost their lives in the operation.
