Death Toll from Interclan Fighting in Central Somalia Rises to 55

The death toll from the interclan clashes in central Somalia has risen to 55.

Central Somalia has been a scene of deadly clashes since the end of last week between militia from two different clans.

The warring clans were identified as Dir and Marihan.

Militias from both clans, who have restricted their fight to Herale and Abudwaq, are clashing over grazing land and watering wells.

Thus far, 155 people have been injured in the clashes.
