The federal Minister of Defense and the United States Ambassador to Somalia celebrated the new army recruits.
Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, the defense minister, and US Ambassador Larry Andre met on Wednesday, September 7 at the former’s office in Mogadishu.
They expressed their pleasure at the news that a fresh batch of recruits is to undergo training to equip them to serve as Somali National Army (SNA) forces.
The new recruits will join the Danab Special Forces, which is a unit of highly trained military officers serving as part of SNA.
They will work closely with various security forces and other partners to ensure that Somalia remains secure and stable.
