A delegation from Ethiopia’s Somali region visited Berbera Port in Somaliland on Wednesday September 30.
The delegation, which has been on an official visit of Somaliland, toured the facility, which is currently undergoing extensive renovation.
Abdirahman Iid, the region’s Minister of Irrigation led the delegation.
Several senior military officers from Ethiopia’s Somali region also accompanied the irrigation minister to inspect the ongoing works in Berbera Port.
Sahil’s Provincial Governor, Ahmed Mohamed Hashi, received the delegation and reiterated his belief that their visit would improve bilateral trade between Somaliland and Ethiopia.
Said Hassan, the Manager of Berbera Port, said that the delegation from Ethiopia observed the operations at the facility.
