A delegation from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) visited a minister in Mogadishu.
The UNHCR and IGAD’s Center of Excellence for Climate Adaptation and Environmental Protection visited Ahmed Fiqi, the federal Minister of Interior Affairs.
Ambassador Gamal M. Hassan, Director of IGAD’s Center of Excellence for Climate Adaptation and Environmental Protection, was part of the team that visited Fiqi.
In the meeting, which took place on Tuesday, Fiqi, Amb. Gamal and the UNHCR team discussed issues pertaining to internally displaced persons (IDPs).
They also spoke about the humanitarian situation that continues unraveling in different parts of the East African nation.
