A delegation comprising representatives from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) traveled to Banadir on August 14.
The team from WHO and UNICEF examined the progress of COVID-19 vaccination in the region.
Specifically, the team wanted to evaluate not only the COVID-19 vaccination but also the routine immunization campaigns in Banadir’s Bondhere district.
Afterward, they issued a statement on their findings.
According to them, the region continues to make steady progress, especially after health officials successfully vaccinated over 3.6 million people against COVID-19.
