Garowe – Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni has thrown his support behind a newly formed opposition alliance, sharply criticizing the federal government’s performance.
In a statement on Sunday, Deni declared that “Somalia is at risk of division and fragmentation” if national leaders fail to act.
Deni accused the federal government of failing in its responsibilities and urged Somali politicians to come together to rescue the country.
“We welcome the formation of the new alliance. The country cannot wait any longer,” the Puntland leader said.
His comments come amid growing political tensions and calls for reforms ahead of planned elections. The alliance is expected to play a significant role in shaping Somalia’s political future.
