President Said Abdullahi Deni of the regional state of Puntland held a meeting with the newly elected legislators.
Deni held the meeting with the new Members of Parliament (MPs) on March 7.
The meeting took place at the Presidential Palace in Bosaso.
President Deni had traveled to Bosaso to inspect a few projects while consulting traditional elders and the new elders on wide-ranging issues.
Deni took the opportunity to discuss current affairs in Somalia with the MPs.
He also invited legislators who will represent Puntland in Senate (Upper House) to the Bosaso meeting.
The Puntland leader congratulated the legislators for emerging victorious while urging them to work for the people.
