President Said Abdullahi Deni of Puntland hosted past and present Somali leaders to a banquet on January 1.
The banquet took place on the sidelines of the Heritage Institute for Policy Studies (HIPS) annual forum.
HIPS’ annual forum took place in Garowe, the administrative capital of Puntland.
Deni also hosted the leaders’ banquet in Garowe.
Several other guests who attended the just-concluded HIPS annual conference were invited to the leaders’ banquet too.
Some of the leaders at the banquet included President Ahmed Islam Madobe of Jubbaland and President Abdiaziz Abdi Karie Qoorqoor of Galmudug.
Immediate former Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire was at the banquet too.
Ex-Presidents Hassan Sheikh and Sharif Sheikh also attended the banquet at Deni’s invitation.
