President Said Abdullahi Deni of Puntland held a meeting with several Federal Members of Parliament (MPs) and business leaders in Mogadishu.
Deni’s meeting with the MPs and business leaders took place on Wednesday.
He has been in the nation’s capital since last week to discuss issues surrounding the upcoming elections in the East African nation.
Deni is scheduled to hold talks with President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo and President Ahmed Islam Madobe of the Federal Government of Somalia and Jubbaland respectively.
Other regional leaders representing the remaining Federal Member States (FMS) are expected to join them for the talks.
However, he first opted to meet with the MPs, business leaders, and Batulo Sh. Ahmed Gabal, the Chairperson of the National Women’s Organization (NWO) of Somalia.
During the meeting, Deni discussed the state of the country with the other leaders.
