President Said Abdullahi Deni has reassured the Swedish Ambassador to Somalia of Puntland’s commitment to democracy.
On January 23, Deni held a virtual meeting with Staffan Tillander, the Swedish Ambassador to Somalia.
During the meeting, Deni updated Ambassador Tillander on the progress that his regional state has made in implementing the one-person-one-vote (1P1V) system.
Further, President Deni expressed gratitude to Sweden for maintaining close cooperation with Puntland over the years.
He also assured Ambassador Tillander that his administration recently passed the Voter Registration Bill as part of strengthening the democratization process in the region.
