Denmark has allocated $7.2 million to Somalia Humanitarian Fund (SHF) for drought response in the Horn of Africa nation.
The Danish Embassy in Somalia announced the allocation on Friday, June 3.
SHF brings together various partners to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to the needy communities in Somalia.
It also addresses the impact of the alarming drought in the country.
Other than that, SHF’s mandate includes evaluating acute water shortages that continues to threaten people and livestock across the land.
The contribution from Denmark would enable SHF to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to those who need it in Somalia.
