Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama visited Baidoa on Tuesday to coordinate the ongoing relief efforts in the region.
Jama was in the capital of the regional state of Southwest with other leaders.
He led a delegation comprising national and international humanitarian aid representatives on the trip to Baidoa.
Specifically, he expressed interest in the efforts aimed at mitigating the effects of the ongoing floods.
Deputy Prime Minister Jama’s team held talks with Southwest’s President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen on ways of supporting those affected by the floods.
