Six Somali children died from acute watery diarrhea (AWD) in a town in Hiiraan region.
Local health officials stated that they suspect the young children died from what is a likely case of an outbreak of AWD in the region.
All the six who died were from Buloburde, a town in central Somalia.
Local residents have been encouraged to be on the lookout and apply proper hygienic standards to prevent the disease from spreading further.
