District Commissioner Barely Survives a Mogadishu Bomb Attack

Muse Gesey, a Yaqshid District Commissioner, barely survived a bomb attack that targeted his car on Sunday in Mogadishu.

In the morning incident, one person was killed in the explosion while three others were left wounded and in need of advanced medical attention.

According to an eyewitness, the bomb exploded near a football pitch in Somalia’s capital city.

The eyewitness said DC Gesey emerged from the bomb blast unhurt in a city that has witnessed a recent upsurge in deadly bomb attacks.

Al-Shabaab has been at the forefront in carrying out multiple attacks around the country.

The attacks seem to target government officers, Somali National Army (SNA) forces, and innocent civilians in the East African nation.
