A cargo plane traveling from Djibouti made an emergency landing at Garowe Airport on Wednesday, December 2.
Authorities said that the plane lost one of its wheels thus forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing in Puntland State’s administrative capital.
The incident represents the fourth time a plane from one of Somalia’s neighboring countries made an emergency landing in 2020.
Several planes from Kenya have suffered similar experiences this year.
It was not immediately clear whether any of the passengers or crew suffered serious injuries though the initial reports seemed to indicate that they were all fine.
