Djibouti to Reveal Truth on Detention of Former NISA Chief

Djibouti is set to reveal the truth on the alleged detention of Fahad Yasin.

Ilyas Dawaleh, Djibouti’s Minister of Finance, revealed this on Friday, September 17 while responding to the allegations made by a spokesperson from Somalia’s Office of the President.

Fahad Yasin, the immediate former Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), was reportedly detained in Djibouti while traveling back to Somalia from Turkey.

The plane carrying Yasin returned to Istanbul with all its passengers, who then traveled back to Mogadishu via Djibouti the following day.

Dawaleh was speaking while responding to claims by Abdirashid Hashi, the Director of Communications in the president’s office.

He dismissed Hashi’s claims as “baseless and inappropriate.”

The Djiboutian minister stated that the reality regarding Yasin’s situation would soon emerge.
