The remains of a child allegedly abandoned in a plastic bag and chewed to death by a dog has been found in Hargeisa.
Some schoolchildren discovered the remains of the child and informed people living in a house next door.
Authorities were then called to pick the body which seemed to have been abandoned in a plastic bag.
A local police officer said the incident was not the first one in the area.
He said that several similar incidences had taken place at the dumping ground, which has seen its fair share of children abandoned and discarded in plastic bags.
Most of the abandoned children are born to young girls impregnated out of wedlock.
