Donors Contribute $46.7 Million to the Somalia Humanitarian Fund

Donors have contributed US$46.7 million to the Somalia Humanitarian Fund (SHF) as of August 30, 2022.

SHF has published the latest report on the funds received and spent thus far this year.

Regarding donations, the organization says that Germany leads the list of contributors with $3.3 million already received and $8.1 million pledged.

The Netherlands is in second place after paying $9.7 million and is followed by Norway and Canada with $4.8 million paid.

The United Kingdom is fifth after paying $2.7 million and pledging $1.8 million.

Denmark, Sweden, Ireland, and Switzerland follow with $3.8 million, $3.3 million, $3.3 million, and $1.1 million respectively.

SHF has allocated the funds to different clusters.

These clusters include WASH, food security, nutrition, health, shelter, protection, education, and other enabling programs in that order.
