DP World has delivered the final consignment comprising COVID-19 medical supplies to the government of Somaliland.
According to DP World, the final shipment contains 150,000 facemasks and 3,000 medical coveralls.
It has also delivered thousands of gloves, goggles, and face shields to help medical officers and frontline workers to proceed with their jobs unhindered.
DP World handed over the supplies to Abdirahman Abdillahi Ismail, who is Somaliland’s Vice President and the Chairman of Somaliland’s COVID-19 Committee.
Supachai Wattanaveerachai, DP World Berbera’s Chief Executive Office delivered the consignment to Vice President Ismail.
Several dignitaries attended the handing over ceremony. Among them were the Minister of Education, the Minister of Information, and the Director General in the Ministry of Health.
DP World Berbera has collaborated with DP World headquarters located in Dubai to deliver the medical supplies to Somaliland since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in the country.
