The ongoing drought is likely to affect more than 1.5 million children in Somalia by the end of 2022.
United States Agency for International Development (USAID) stated this in its latest report.
In the report, USAID indicated that the ongoing drought has affected more than 6.7 million people in the East African nation thus far.
It added that over 1.5 million would be acutely malnourished by the drought.
Furthermore, 6.4 million people will also face acute water shortages.
Over 1 million individuals have joined the list of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) because of the drought and the subsequent humanitarian crisis.
