The Ministry of Education has promised that the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) would prioritize the delivery of quality education.
Engineer Abdullahi Arab, the Minister of Education, says that providing all Somali children with access to quality education remains a top priority of the government.
The education minister was speaking during the International Literacy Day in Mogadishu on September 8.
Eng. Arab opened the ceremony to mark this year’s International Literacy Day.
He also highlighted the importance of improving literacy levels around the country.
Arab extended his gratitude to the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for supporting education in Somalia.
The minister also commended the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for enabling more Somali students to access quality education.
