The Ministry of Education has launched a program to enroll and retain 300,000 Somali children in school.
The education ministry announced this on Tuesday.
It added that the program would be successful following the partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
Education Above All Foundation (EAAF) has partnered with the ministry and UNICEF too.
Their target is to ensure that 300,000 Somali children are enrolled and attending primary school by 2026.
Children currently living as internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Somalia are the program’s target.
