Somalia’s Minister of Finance, Bihi Egeh, recently held a constructive meeting with officials from the U.S. Treasury on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Annual Meetings.
They discussed Somalia’s progress in anti-money laundering and counter-financing of terrorism (AML/CFT), key economic development initiatives, and collaboration under the International Development Association (IDA) 21.
This partnership aims to promote sustainable growth, positioning Somalia as a contributor to regional economic development.
Egeh emphasized Somalia’s readiness to play an influential role in advancing economic stability across the region.
