Egeh Discusses Somalia’s Post-Debt Economic Priorities with European Ministers

Bihi Egeh, the Minister of Finance, discussed Somalia’s post-debt economic priorities with other leaders on the sidelines of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group annual meeting.

Egeh, who is in Nairobi for AfDB’s annual meeting, discussed these matters with ministers from the United Kingdom, Denmark, and Netherlands.

Currently, Somalia enjoys debt-relief status after most of its foreign debts were wiped away by the World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), and much of the west.

The finance minister briefed the ministers and senior officials from the three European nations on the economic priorities that the East African nation has settled on and is pursuing.
