Egypt Air Flights to Mogadishu Officially Launched

A high-level Egyptian delegation, led by Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, has arrived in Mogadishu to inaugurate Egypt Air’s new biweekly flight route from Cairo to Mogadishu.

Egypt Air will fly between Cairo and Mogadishu twice each week.

Its flights were officially inaugurated on July 12.

The visit by Abdelatty and his team marks the commencement of the new air service and signifies a step towards enhancing connectivity between Egypt and Somalia.

During their visit, the delegation will hold talks with their Somali counterparts to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation in various sectors.

This development is seen as part of broader efforts to bolster economic ties, improve diplomatic relations, and foster mutual interests between the two nations.

The new flight route is expected to facilitate increased trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges, benefiting both countries.
