Egypt has invited the President of Somalia for an official visit.
A delegation of high-ranking officials from Egypt visited President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Monday.
The officials relayed greetings by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to President Mohamud.
They also conveyed an invitation from the Egyptian President to his Somali counterpart for an official visit soon.
They told President Mohamud that Egypt remains supportive of Somalia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and unity.
The officials assured Somalia of Egypt’s unwavering commitment to maintaining brotherly ties with Somalia.
