Eight New COVID-19 Cases Announced in Somalia

Somalia’s Ministry of Health has announced eight new COVID-19 cases. The eight cases were from 106 samples tested in the last 48 hours around the country.

According to the health ministry, seven cases were reported in Puntland and one in Jubbaland. Furthermore, seven of the patients are male while one is a female.

The health ministry also announced 22 new recoveries with zero fatalities.

Consequently, Somalia now has 3,265 confirmed COVID-19 cases. Its tally of those who have recovered has shot up to 2,396 while deaths remain at 93.
