Souef Mohamed El-Amine commended the security plans instituted by the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) once the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) troops leave the country.
ATMIS is scheduled to pull out all its troops from Somalia by December 31, 2024.
On Thursday, El-Amine and Daud Aweis, the federal Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, addressed this issue in a joint press briefing.
Furthermore, El-Amine also hailed the economic vision that the government of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre have developed.
In El-Amine’s view, the Somali government is on the right path of delivering security and prosperity to all. Consequently, he called upon the international community to provide the East African nation with all the support it needs to actualize the dream.
