Souef Mohamed El-Amine led a delegation from the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) to discuss the organization’s mandate with the Acting United Kingdom Ambassador.
El-Amine is the Head of ATMIS and the Special Representative of the Chairperson of the AU Commission (SRCC) to Somalia.
He met with Lottie Burrows, the Acting UK Ambassador to Somalia.
El-Amine was in the company of Lt. Gen. Sam Okiding, the ATMIS Force Commander.
On the other hand, Burrows arrived for the discussions with Rachel Williams and Luke Sutton. Williams and Sutton are the First and Second Secretaries in charge of Security respectively.
They discussed the ongoing counterterrorism operations led by the Somali government in the country.
