Mogadishu, Somalia – The Federal Government of Somalia’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Lt. Gen. Bashir Mohamed Jama, emphasized the importance of robust environmental measures across all sectors, stating that climate action must be integrated nationwide during the Mogadishu Environmental Summit.
He pointed out Somalia’s major achievements, as the first to submit its NDCs in June 2025, following its earlier NAP, and plans to introduce the establishment of a National Environmental Management Authority to Parliament.
