Addis Ababa, June 22, 2025 — Ethiopia’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Gedion Timotheos, held talks with Somaliland’s Foreign Minister Abdirahman Daahir Adan during a four-day official visit to Addis Ababa from June 19-22, 2025. The meeting was aimed at reinforcing diplomatic ties and strategic cooperation between the two neighboring regions.
According to a brief statement from Ethiopia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ministers discussed “enhancing partnership and neighborly relations” across a range of mutual interests. Abdirahman expressed appreciation for Ethiopia’s warm welcome and continued support, underlining that both parties share strong interests and are committed to deepening their longstanding partnership.
