Ethiopia is ready to listen to its friends in the country’s ongoing diplomatic row with the neighboring nation of Somalia.
Redwan Hussein said this in his capacity as Ethiopia’s National Security Advisor.
Posting on X (formerly Twitter), Hussein said that the country was willing to do whatever it takes to de-escalate the tensions that have grown stratospherically over the last three weeks.
Earlier this week, he hit out at other nations for meddling in Ethiopia’s affairs.
Hussein said this in reference to countries such as Egypt that have vowed to stand in solidarity with Somalia in the face of what they called “violation of Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
The security advisor seems to have toned down a bit.
