Ethiopian forces have been commended for the role they play in stabilizing Somalia.
Souef Mohamed El-Amine, the Head of the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS), hailed the role that Ethiopian troops continue to play in stabilizing Somalia.
El-Amine spoke when he led an ATMIS delegation in visiting Baidoa on Sunday.
He was the chief guest at a ceremony that ATMIS held to reward Ethiopia National Defense Forces (ENDF) troops in the region.
Southwest’s President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen attended the award ceremony too.
Others who were at the ceremony included Muktar Mohamed, the Ethiopian Ambassador to Somalia, and Lt. Gen. Sam Okiding, the ATMIS Force Commander.
