Hundreds of troops from Ethiopia have entered Somalia. The non-AMISOM forces crossed into its Horn of Africa neighboring country over the weekend.
Multiple sources have confirmed that the forces are in Somalia for an unknown purpose. However, they are armed to the teeth.
Traveling in highly sophisticated vehicles, they entered Somalia through Gedo. On Sunday, witnesses reported seeing several of them walking on foot around Doolow Town.
The fact they carried AK-47 rifles prove that they are ready for battle with an unidentified enemy in Gedo, which is one of the most volatile places in Somalia.
A former correspondent with the BBC, Mohamed Moalimuu, posted many images showing troops donning Ethiopian military attire moving into the area.
Since they have not moved out of Gedo, there are suspicions that the Ethiopian troops probably want to establish a military base within the town.
